On a recent trip back to Europe to visit friends and family, I also had a wedding to attend in Wales. During a stroll to the beach, I was struck by an unexpected resemblance to New Zealand's shores. The black sand, formed from volcanic rock, stretched out before me in a mesmerizing display of intricate patterns. Switching my camera to monochrome, I had to capture this beauty.
